MORRISVILLE – Uptown Airport Group, a provider of concessions at Raleigh-Durham International Airport, is closing its operation at Terminal 1 and laying off 66 workers, according to a layoff notice filed with the state of North Carolina.

The operation will shut down on June 17, the noticed filed by Charlotte-based Uptown Airport Group.

The company says it lost a contract with the airport.

Uptown Airport Group describes itself as “a prime concessionaire at Raleigh-Durham International Airport.”

All employees have been notified, the company said in the notice.

Jobs include cooks, bartenders, wait staff, supervisors and managers.
