RALEIGH – 10 Federal, the Raleigh based operator of a growing self-storage network, has raised more than $30 million in recent months and continues to add to its physical footprint.

The latest additions announced this week are three facilities in Georgia. They represent the sixth purchase made through 10 Storage’s fourth fund raised to make investments. Founded in 2010, 10 Federal operates in 16 states. It also is involved in construction, multi-family homes, technology and finance, according to its website.

“The acquisition of the ASAP Storage portfolio is an exciting addition to our self-storage portfolio,” said Cliff Minsley, principal and cofounder of 10 Federal. “We are confident in our ability to create value by improving occupancy and rental rates through our proven technology-driven approach.”

10 Federal has raised $32 million from Dec. 15th through April 1, the company says.

To help manage its growth the company has added three executives. According to a press release the new execs are:

  • Brian Oakley has been appointed Vice President of Technology, bringing over 15 years of experience in technology strategy, development, and operations.
  • Trent Erickson has been appointed Vice President of Accounting, with over 20 years of experience in public accounting, financial reporting, and business operations.
  • Kris Gunther has been appointed to Vice President of Human Resources, a seasoned HR executive with experience in talent management and organizational development.
