GREENSBORO – More layoffs are hitting home in the Triad.
Precor Manufacturing has told the N.C. Department of Commerce that it is shuttering a plant in Whitsett.
Some 123 workers will lose their jobs with the plant scheduled to close “permanently” in October, according to a layoff notice filed with the state.
So far this year five of the mass layoff notices filed with North Carolina are from Triad-based companies.
