RALEIGH – More layoffs are hitting North Carolina. This time the cuts are happening in Gaston County.

Coats America Inc. is laying off 41 workers at a plant in McAdenville, according to a layoff notice filed with the state of North Carolina.

The layoffs will take effect on April 24, according to the notice.

Some 690 North Carolina workers are being affected by 11 job actions, according to the Department of Commerce.
