RALEIGH – Alamance County is getting 135 new jobs and a massive 220,000 square foot warehouse addition through a $42 million investment from Alamance Foods.

The company reached agreement with the North Carolina Economic Investment Committee on Tuesday. If all commitments are met the company will receive state incentives of some $1.2 million.

Alamance Foods also must retain some 812 current employees.

The expansion will take place in Burlington and will include manufacturing as well as cold storage.

Jobs will pay just more than $47,000 in annual wages.

The company will receive some $1.2 million in incentives from Burlington and Alamance County.
