RALEIGH – ArenaCX, a startup led by former executives at Republic Wireless, has raised nearly $4.2 million in its second round of financing.

According to an SEC filing made Thursday, the company secured backing from 20 investors.

And another $1.765 million remains available in the round.

Doc Shufelt and Alan Pendleton launched ArenaCX two years ago and raised $2 million.

The startup says its software platform aims  disrupt the customer service industry.
