RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – Plenty of technology and life science events and program deadlines are coming up across North Carolina in September. Several events will be held in person or in a hybrid format, while many others remain virtual.

Application Deadline: Duke CASE F.M. Kirby Social Impact Prize

Sept. 5

Duke University’s Fred Morgan Kirby Prize for Scaling Social Impact provides $100,000 in unrestricted funds to organizations working on solving social or environmental problems around the world. Join this webinar to learn more about the program and application process. The first round of applications closes on Sept. 5.

Finding & Understanding Federal Opportunities

Hosted by the North Carolina Military Business Center, this training event will focus on identifying federal websites used by government agencies to advertise opportunities for goods/services and procurement forecasts.

Downtown Techies Raleigh Happy Hour

Code for Durham: Civic Hacking Session

Code for Durham brings together technologists, designers, developers, data scientists, map makers, and activists to collaborate on civic technology projects. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month.
