WINSTON-SALEM – David Bell is the new chairman of the board of directors for Triad Semiconductor Inc.

The Winston-Salem-based company announced the appointment of Bell to the role of chairman of the board in a statement last week.

Bell succeeds Lynn Hayden, who served as the board chair for 15 years.

Hayden remains the president and CEO of Triad Semiconductor and Bell will assume the role of chairman of the board.

The rationale provided by the company, in a statement, is that Bell will “assist with Triad’s anticipated rapid growth over the coming years.”

He previously served on the board of directors, having been appointed in 2014. Bell also is the founder and CEO of UVCense, a manufacturer of ultraviolet light measurement devices.

“David’s long history of leadership, coupled with his experience in growing some of the industry’s major analog semiconductor brands makes him an ideal person for this role,” said Hayden, in the statement.  “I look forward to working closely with David to continue to ensure that Triad Semiconductor makes a positive impact for all stakeholders, including Triad’s partners, our people and society.”

The firm has about 50 employees, according to those affiliated with the company’s LinkedIn page.  The company closed a $5 million debt financing in 2018.
