CHARLOTTE – A logistics company that is projecting $1 billion in gross revenues plans to double its headcount, including adding workers from its Charlotte office.

The company, Spot, which is headquartered in Indianapolis and also has an office in Tempe, also plans to open a Tampa, Florida office, according to a statement released this week.

Spot has more than 500 employees and announced in its statement it will add 400 more.

“Spot’s growth has been remarkable to experience,” said Andrew Elsener, co-founder of Spot. “I’m proud we’ve never lost the entrepreneurial spirit that provides the foundation for our success.”

Currently, the company’s website lists eight roles in Charlotte on the Spot team and an additional six roles at the company’s technology organization, Red Technologies.
