Hospitality Hiring Hour

Durham’s Washington Duke Inn and Golf Club, JB Duke Hotel and The Lodge at Duke Medical Center are on the hunt for top talent in the hospitality industry. RevTech Labs Class 16 Welcome Party

The Council for Entrepreneurial Development’s annual Venture Connect conference is returning in-person this year with a program centered around tech, life sciences, agtech and food innovation. Application Deadline: IdeaFest Business Pitch Competition

April 8

The Launch Place, a startup fund based in Virginia but serving local startups through its RTP office, will host its seventh annual IdeaFest Business Pitch Competition on April 28. Applications are live for companies interested in pitching at this year’s event. Awards totaling $10,000 will be divided among the top three competitors.

Western North Carolina Black Business Expo

April 8-10 @Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts Asheville

The WNC Minority Business Association will host its inaugural WNC Black Business Expo, a three-day networking and educational event focusing on minority-owned businesses and entrepreneurs. The event will feature networking, a trade show, guest speakers, workshops, panels and more sessions centered around the theme “Inspiring and Motivating the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs.”

Triangle Biotech Tuesday

Mountain BizWorks will host the North Carolina launch of Opportunity Appalachia, a five-state program that’s investing in rural and downtown development and redevelopment projects. Selected communities will receive $30,000 to $75,000 in technical assistance to support their proposed development projects.
