MOORESVILLE – BestCo LLC will invest $177 million in a facility expansion project in Mooresville, due to a need to add incremental production capacity as demand for the company’s products has increased.

The expansion, once complete, is expected to create 394 jobs, according to the terms of an agreement the company reached with the state’s Economic Investment Committee, which met earlier this morning and approved a Job Development Investment Grant (JDIG) valued at more than $2 million.  The company already employs more than 700 workers, according to the firm’s website.

According to the company’s website, it is a developer and manufacturer of pharmaceutical dosage forms for the over-the-counter drug, vitamin, and supplement markets.  The company provides private label and contract manufacturing services to serve clients in these markets.

Its current facilities include eight automated processing lines and 18 sorting and packaging lines, according to the company’s website.  The company maintains and operates a distribution center in close proximity to its manufacturing operations, as well.
