WRAL TechWire’s exclusive Triangle Startup Guide is continually growing with new resources for local startups. Whether you’re looking for VC or angel funding, local coworking spaces or free networking events, the Triangle Startup Guide has all the resources you need to take your venture to the next level.

Every week, we add new resources to keep content fresh and relevant. Here’s what we added this week:

Inspiration, Advice and More Resources

This section of the guide includes a mix of podcasts from local entrepreneurs and investors, thought leadership, tips, recommendations, market data and other resources within the Triangle’s startup ecosystem. This week, we added two new podcasts:

  • Poole Podcast: Run by NC State’s Poole College of Management, this newly-launched podcast features university faculty and industry leaders sharing their perspectives on thought leadership. Episodes have featured Sprout Pharmaceuticals CEO Cindy Eckert, Poole College of Management Accounting Professor Nathan Goldman and EY International Tax Partner Amanda Shumaker.
  • First Check, with Venture Capitalist Tim McLoughlin: This new podcast is hosted by seasoned Triangle investor Tim McLoughlin, who is a partner at Cary-based VC firm Cofounders Capital. Every week, he shares tips on VC and angel investing and interviews other investors. The first two episodes featured Walk West CEO Donald Thompson and Mindshift Capital Venture Partner Marcia Dawood.

Venture Capital and Angel Groups

This section of the guide features local and regional venture capital and angel investors. This week, we added Chapel Hill-based Leeds Illuminate to the list. The firm invests in growth-stage companies offering technology in early childhood, K-12, higher education and workforce development. It launched in 2020 and is currently targeting a $20 million raise.

We make weekly additions to the Triangle Startup Guide. As always, if we missed a resource you’d like to add, please feel free to submit it for inclusion. You can email me directly, tweet me @shannoncuthrell or use this contact form.
