WRAL TechWire’s exclusive Triangle Startup Guide is continually growing with new resources for local startups. Whether you’re looking for VC or angel funding, local coworking spaces or free networking events, the Triangle Startup Guide has all the resources you need to take your venture to the next level.

Every week, we add new resources to keep content fresh and relevant. Here’s what we added last week:

Venture Capital and Angel Groups

We added the Duke Impact Investing Group (DIIG) to the Venture Capital and Angel Groups page. This student-run organization provides capital, mentorship, pro-bono consulting, due diligence and other resources for businesses. Its investment division manages Duke’s first-of-its-kind impact VC fund, totaling $100,000 and targeting businesses in education, health, fintech, consumer products, energy and environment sectors. Duke Innovation & Entrepreneurship oversees DIIG’s work.

Communities, Networks & Membership Organizations

We added WE Power Food to the Communities, Networks and Memberships section. WE Power Food provides resources, training seminars, networking and other types of support to women entrepreneurs in the food industry. The organization was formed out of the Piedmont Food Processing Center, a food incubator based in Hillsborough.

Inspiration, Advice and More Resources

We updated the Inspiration, Advice and More Resources section to include a link to the latest “State of the Region Address” by Tom Snyder, executive director of local Internet of Things group, RIoT.

The 2021 State of the Region Address, delivered by Snyder last week, focused on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on local business, the environment, the economy, diversity, equity and inclusion, and broadband. Read it in full here.
