CARY – INE, a provider of cyber security and other information technology training coourses, is cutting the costs of its offerings by 50%, the CEO saying the company can do so and still maintain quality while offering more people a chance to find employment in the tech sector.

And there are jobs to be had. According to figures from the NC Technology Assoication, more than 27,000 IT jobs were open across North Carolina as 2020 came to close. Nationally, more than 870,000 positions were available.

The company also is expanding the availability of its cyber security, cloud, data science and networking library.

“INE’s mission revolves around one guiding principle: to always put our students first. We sincerely respect our students and value what they say. After listening to feedback over the past few months and taking a close look at the company’s pricing structure, we determined it was possible to lower the prices while still delivering the best training content in the world,” CEO Richard McLain tells WRAL TechWire.

“A decade ago, at the height of the Great Recession, we made a similar decision to increase access and lower prices. As the pandemic cripples economies around the world and leaves millions of people without a job, we once again act on our commitment to raise the bar for quality training, while lowering the barriers to enter the IT training space.”

The company says that over the past 14 years it has “helped tens of thousands of IT professionals achieve their goals and countless Fortune 500 companies build a world class technical organization fully prepared for tomorrow’s challenges.”

INE

INE announced the lower price structure earlier this week, describing the move as “an effort to lower the barriers of entry into the notoriously expensive IT sector.” Courses can cost from $3,000 to $7,500 on an annual basis even before having to pay for certification exams, INE noted.

Asked about how the fee structure works, McLain says: “Regardless of the plan you choose, you will get access to training courses across Cyber Security, Cloud, Data Science and Networking. We offer a free Starter Pass for those just looking to dip their toes into the IT training waters. We also offer individual plans on monthly and yearly subscriptions, and students can upgrade to Premier for even more hands-on access. INE has two business plans as well — Professional and Enterprise — that both offer access to our entire training library that includes more than 800 courses, 1,800+ videos and 38 learning paths.”

Even with the cost cuts, McLain notes cheaper options exist. But he says “they don’t come close to INE when it comes to the depth and breadth of training we offer. We know that Information Technology is so intertwined now. When you train for a specialty with INE, you can get that great depth of expertise, but you will also get incredible breadth around it. That is something our competitors simply can’t offer.”

Interested students can visit the firm’s website for more inofrmation.

“We are now offering the absolute best prices in the world for the type of training available, and we are excited about what it means for people who are interested in jumping into the IT training world,” McLain says. “We believe it is more important than ever to remain focused on delivering value to our students, and ensuring we do everything in our power to help them reach their goals. Their success truly is our success.”

Training is available on a global basis, McLain adds.

“We have students all over the world. Technology transcends all boundaries and our training reflects that. We recognized years ago that students would benefit from more flexibility in their training,” he explains.

“Long before the pandemic forced us all into a virtual world, INE was already there. We have spent years perfecting the most effective methods of transferring the value of in-person learning to an online platform.”
