RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – The Frontier startup and innovation hub in RTP has a new firm in residence. And it’s hiring.

Worldwide Clinical Trials, which has some 2,000 employees spread across its global footprint, has moved its headquarters to The Frontier from Morrisville. The contract resource organization also is looking to fill jobs. Of 182 openings listed at its website, several are for positions in the Triangle and North Carolina.

“There is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all solution for a clinical trial, or for an employee’s choice of workspace,” said Joy Clark, chief people, strategy and culture officer for Worldwide Clinical Trials, in the relocation announcement. “Our new headquarters shows our commitment to a positive and flexible environment for our employees and customers alike.”

Why The Frontier?

“The location offers meeting and office spaces, educational opportunities, and networking events that encourage collaboration and are tailored to growing businesses, like Worldwide,” the company said.

“By moving its corporate headquarters to the new modular, flexible space in Frontier RTP, Worldwide is supporting business performance, employee engagement and innovation – offering individual employees lots of workspace options so they can choose where and how they work best now and post-pandemic,” the CRO added.

The company has some 250 employees in North Carolina.

Worldwide is one of several CROs in the Triangle area, a growing hub for life science firms.

“The impact of the pandemic means that our world will operate differently forevermore. Yet, that will not stop us from making investments like this that matter,” said Peter Benton, president and chief operating officer, Worldwide Clinical Trials. “We will stand out within this competitive job market as the best midsize CRO. Worldwide is attracting top talent globally, scaling in new ways and constantly building on our aspirations to improve the CRO experience – for our customers and for our employees.”
