CARY – Fortnite’s latest update comes Dec. 2 with the launch of “Chapter 2 – Season 5,” and owner Epic Games is offering subscriptions for what the Fortnite development team calls “cant-miss Fortnite content!”

The game, which has more than 300 million registered users and is heading back to Apple devices despite a ban as part of a work-around provided by chip developer NVIDIA, will provide to players for $12 a month:

  • The current season’s Battle Pass
  • 1,000 V-Bucks (used for in-app purchases such as accessories)
  • An exclusive “Outfit Bundle” for player gear
  • Coming equipment offers include a “Cosmic Llamacorn Pickaxe and Fractured World Back Bling”

“With the option for the subscription, Fortnite Crew would be the option for someone who finds themselves adding V-bucks to their account often to purchase cosmetics or just to get the exclusive cosmetics. It would also be a good option for someone who has to ask permission to purchase V-bucks. So instead of bugging someone for money every month for V-bucks, they can subscribe to the Crew, and it’s a recurring drop every month,” notes VentureBeat.
