RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – Dan L. O’Korn, Partner, Hutchison, LLC, a leading business law advisor to technology and life sciences communities in the Southeast and mid-Atlantic, has joined the Board of Directors of First Flight Venture Center (First Flight). First Flight is an RTP-based science and technology incubator for science-focused companies.

“First Flight is continuing to expand its reach to help the entrepreneurial community in the RTP and beyond.  Dan brings a wealth of leadership experience to the table and relationships that will support our organization’s mission particularly at this exciting moment when we have just raised more than $2M to support our programs.  As we approach our 30th Anniversary we are looking forward to the next 30 years and Dan will play an integral role in the Board’s work and the future growth of First Flight,” said Mary Musacchia, Chair, First Flight Board of Directors.

Dan previously served as outside counsel to life sciences companies and in in-house counsel roles for Eli Lilly and Company; AAIPharma, Inc.; Vice President and General Counsel at Xanodyne Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Vice-President, Legal Affairs, Xcellerex, Inc.  His law practice focuses on the business transactions important to pharmaceutical and biotech companies, including licensing and commercial transactions, FDA-related regulatory matters, asset acquisitions and divestitures, supply agreements, product development agreements and strategic alliances.
