RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – The Research Triangle Foundation is looking for four “rockstar BIPOC” – or woman-owned entrepreneurs and restaurateurs to join our Boxyard family in 2021 – each will take a three-month pop-up residency inside one of our shipping containers.
BIPOC is an acronym that stands for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color.
PopBox is a 320-square-foot space within the highly-anticipated Boxyard RTP development.
In partnership with NC IDEA, the Research Triangle Foundation will be awarding a micro-grant of $5,000 to each of the four selected businesses. COVID-19 has crippled many industries, and with this platform we hope to give our small business friends a positive jolt back into the market.
Timeline for the project:
November 10, 2020: Applications open
December 10, 2020: Applications close
By December 20, 2020: Each applicant will be notified whether they have made it to round two
January 4, 2021: Interviews begin
January 18, 2021: 4 businesses will be selected and slated into the PopBox program
