Nearing launch, Raleigh startup Without a Trace Foods is raising cash

RALEIGH – Startup Without a Trace Foods is nearing its official launch next week and it’s already closing on cash from investors.

“All the awesome. None of the compromise. Delicious snacks free of the big 8 allergens + sesame delivered straight to your door!”

So promises the company at its Facebook page.

According to a securiies filing, 12 investors have poured at least $2,000 each into Startup Without a Trace for a total of $188,000.

The targeted funding amount is $250,000.

Brooke Navarro is the CEO and committed to the fight against food allergies.

“Food allergies have always been a part of my life. I witnessed my mom almost lose her life to anaphylaxis and I’ve been to the emergency room because of my own life-threatening reactions,” she wrote at her firm’s website.

‘From a young age I grew up fearful, experiencing the burden of keeping myself safe at school. Now, with a family of our own, we are navigating allergies for our daughter. But we are no longer living in fear.”

The startup launched earlier this year.
