CHARLOTTE — LS Energy Solutions, which specializes in energy storage, announced on Monday the appointment of Steve Fludder its new president and CEO.

Fludder most recently served as CEO of NEC Energy Solutions and earlier was chief marketing and sales officer of Samsung Energy. He began his career at GE and spent 27 years at the company, during which he served as a vice president and corporate officer.

The company is additionally appointing Roger Lin as VP of marketing and strategy. Lin previously led global marketing, strategy and product at NEC Energy Solutions and has 15 years of battery technology experience.

Fludder shared his belief that LS Energy Solutions “will soon be one of the leading players in the market.” In addition to the Charlotte footprint, Lin added the company hopes to expand in the Boston area to access technical talent.

LS Energy Solutions was acquired by LS ELECTRIC in 2018 and is now part of the LS Group. Both LS Energy Solutions and LS ELECTRIC have extensive experience in integrated energy storage systems.
