RALEIGH – Six startups from across North Carolina will be participating in a “Startup Showcase” as part of the NC Technology Association’s State of Technology event later this month.

Selected for their “potential for growth and impact,” the firms will compete in short “pitches” to the attendees, who will then vote on a winner to receive a prize package.

The startups are:

 

·     Collaborations Pharmaceuticals (Raleigh)

·     Floodlight Software (Cary)

·     Gina Health (Charlotte)

·     Protopia (Raleigh)

·     SmartFox Technologies (Wilmington)

·     Tango Legal (Raleigh)

 

The conference, which will be virtual, is set for July 24-24.
The theme is “Data: The New Natural Resource.”
“This annual event highlights leaders, companies and organizations in North Carolina that distinguish our state as a leading innovation center,” said Brooks Raiford, NC TECH’s president. “A compelling lineup, along with a Startup Showcase, make this event a must for leaders across all sectors.”
Keynote speakers include Red Hat’s Heidi Lanford, Vice President, Enterprise Analytics + Data, and Mike Capps, CEO of Diveplane.
The conference will include six executive panel discussions on various data related topics:

  • People, HR and Talent Analytics – How Data Is Impacting Recruiting and Retaining
  • The Power of Visualization – How Can You Use Data For Executive Storytelling
  • Bias in Data – How Can We Overcome It
  • Data For Good – How Data Can Be Used To Improve Our World
  • Data Massaging – Let’s Strip It Down
