In an effort to help connect North Carolina’s tech community in the age of COVID-19 social distancing, the NC Technology Association (NC TECH) is hosting a wide range of online programming for tech executives, professionals and entrepreneurs.

From April to June, the organization’s slate of online events includes workshops, roundtables, networking opportunities and even a virtual job fair.

Some of the events are only exclusive to companies in NC TECH’s member network, while others are open to the public at-large.

Here’s a glance at the online events NC TECH has planned for the next three months:

Webinars / Info Sessions (Open to Public):

  • Get2Know NC TECH Webinar | April 17, May 1 and June 5, 9-9:30 a.m.
    • This free monthly interactive webinar provides participants with an overview of NC TECH’s activities, resources and member offerings.
  • Low Code Technology Webinar | April 29, 8:30-10 a.m.
    • In this webinar, Humana Digital Channels Director Bruce Buttles will show how Humana is using low code technology to boost its business. ($50 will be donated to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC for each person who RSVPs.)

Online Job Fair (Open to Public)

  • Virtual Tech Job Fair | May 20, 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
    • NC TECH’s Job Fair series connects local tech talent to the companies and organizations looking to hire in the community. This Spring, the event will be held online, with companies hosting “virtual hiring rooms.”

Members-Only Online Events:

  • NC TECH Government Vendor Network | April 21, 3-4:30 p.m.
    • NC TECH’s Government Vendor Network is a forum for member companies who are interested in doing business with state government.
  • CIO + IT Executive Roundtable | May 5 and June 24, 7:45-9 a.m.

    • In this virtual session, IT leaders at NC TECH member companies will discuss relevant topics and best practices in their field.
  • CISO + IT Security Executive Roundtable | May 6 and June 24, 7:45-9 a.m.
    • This online meeting will convene CISOs, VPs and director-level security leaders from NC TECH member companies.
  • NC TECH Government Vendor Network | May 21, 3-4:30 p.m. @NC Innovation Center (possibly online – TBD)
    • May’s Government Vendor Network event will feature a talk from Tracy Doaks, the new secretary of the NC Department of IT and State CIO.

Summit (In-Person, Open to Public):

  • 2020 Diversity + Inclusion Summit | June 23, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. @Sheraton Imperial Hotel

    • NC TECH’s Diversity + Inclusion Summit will bring together C-level executives, D + I professionals and organizational leaders to discuss the benefits of a diverse workplace.
