More news and information for entrepreneurs to use in building and growing their businesses is available from WRAL TechWire as we continue to make additions to our Triangle Startup Guide. The local startup community is constantly growing—prompting regular updates and additions to the guide.
Last week, we added two more resources to the guide:
- Taking a suggestion from the Brian Hamilton Foundation, we added Starter U to the inspiration/advice/more resources section of the guide. Starter U is the Brian Hamilton Foundation‘s free, self-paced online course teaching everything entrepreneurs need to know to start, run and grow a business. Instruction is led by Hamilton, together with other local entrepreneurs like Bobby Martin (founder of Raleigh-based Tilly) and Scott Ogle (former CEO of Sageworks). It also features video interviews with DJ Joe Bunn, Jake Finkelstein of Method Savvy, and other startup founders and CEOs.
- We also added a new listing to our events/meetups section: Triangle Women in STEM, which hosts regular networking events and programming to engage the local tech community. The group aims to recruit and retain women in STEM fields and to boost entrepreneurship opportunities, leadership development, education, workforce development and career assistance.
Because we consider the guide as a living document that’s flexible to expand as needed, we’d like to solicit your feedback on how we can make it better. If we missed a resource you think should be added, please don’t hesitate to submit it for inclusion. You can also email me directly or use this contact form.
