The electric scooter business is tough – and a top player, Lime, is having to adjust.

Lime is laying off 100 workers – 14 percent of its workforce – and shutting down operations in 12 cities, including Atlanta.

So reports venture capital and startup news site PitchBook.

“Financial independence is our goal for 2020, and we are confident that Lime will be the first next-generation mobility company to reach profitability,” Lime CEO and co-founder Brad Bao told PitchBook.
