DURHAM — We want to thank everyone who attended one of our Larger Than Life Science programs to learn about the business of science. Some of the year’s highlights included a panel of entrepreneurs developing lab-grown food, sessions on the latest developments in genome editing platforms and biomarkers, and our “women in science trailblazers” program, showing the value of a good mentor. And our community partnerships ranged from a master gardeners club to a post doc poster session to…the science of surfboards!

LaunchBio expanded its programs to Cambridge, San Francisco, New York and Los Angeles in 2019 (whew!), adding to our monthly programs in Durham and San Diego. We added five new team members and three new members of the Board of Directors, and hosted 10 STEM workshops for high school students learning about careers in science and entrepreneurship.

It’s all made possible by our generous sponsors, grant funders, individual donors, and YOU, helping build a national support network for life science innovators. We look forward to seeing you in the new decade.

As we look to make 2020 better than ever, we’d love your input. Please take a minute to fill out our Larger Than Life Science survey and help us get the programming you’re looking to see.
