RALEIGH – Software developers and workers with certifications in Java are in most demand by companies across North Carolina that are looking to fill more than 30,000 open jobs.

According to the NC Technology Association’s latest tech jobs report, these were the hottest occupations in October:

  • Computer Systems Analysts: 2,795,  +5.9%
  • Computer User Support Specialists: 2,875, +10.6%
  • Information Technology Project Managers: 2,691, +2.7%
  • Computer Systems Engineers/Architects: 2,279, +4.6%
  • Information Security Analysts: 2,421, +18.1%
  • Computer + Information Systems Managers: 1,640, +17.2%
  • Web Developers: 1,729, +5.7%
  • Software Quality Assurance Engineers: 1,166, +9.7%
