CORNELIUS – Jose Rodriguez was appointed chief financial officer of Good Hemp Inc. on Tuesday, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing released on Friday.

Rodriguez will join the company as part of his consulting entity, TechCXO Boston LLC. TechCXO is a consulting firm that matches companies with part-time executives and project leaders.

Under the agreement between TechCXO and Good Hemp, Rodriguez will be paid $175 per hour for CFO services and $75 per hour for senior accounting services, with 25 percent of his compensation paid in Good Hemp’s common stock, according to the filing.

Until June 2019 Rodriguez served as corporate restructuring CFO at TCA Fund Management Group Corp., an investment management company, for less than a year. Previously, he worked at BankUnited Inc. and Miami Tees Inc., for about a year each.

Good Hemp, formerly known as Lone Star Gold Inc., is a company that markets hemp-based beverages and wellness products. Lone Star acquired the Good Hemp brand in February 2019 and changed its name in September 2019.

Good Hemp stock was trading at 40 cents per share on Friday morning, down two cents.
