The Climate Service, founded in 2017, is a software company that quantifies climate risk for financial, corporate and government clients.

The Climate Service recently partnered with LMI Ventures, which forms partnerships between companies and the federal government. A company press release said Lake will “play a key role in this partnership and others to be announced shortly.”

“I could not be more excited to be part of this team and its mission to embed climate data into global decision making,” Lake said in a statement. “Ultimately, we believe this work will accelerate the transition to a lower-carbon economy and make the world more resilient to climate change.”

Lake will help The Climate Service meet growing demand for its services, the company said in the release.
