MORRISVILLE – Backed by Ampersand Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on life science ventures, startup TriPharm Services is preparing to commission a new manufacturing facility for medical gear and products in Morrisville.
The company said Wednesday that it expects the facility to be operational in the second quarter of 2020.
TriPharm defines itself as a contract development and manufacturing organization.

The facility covers 32,000 square feet and is located at 627 Davis Drive in Morrisville.
Clean rooms will support manufacturing, and isolator suites will be available for the processing of biologic and other products, the company says.

Walsh launched the firm along with Eric Evans. Both are pharmaceutical industry veterans.
Ampersand has offices in Boston and the Netherlands.
It closed on a ninth fund last year – an oversubscribed round of $450 million.
