ATLANTA – Venessa Harrison, a former operator who rose to the top job with AT&T in North Carolina as its president, is touting the tech giant’s commitment to Georgia where she recently was promoted to the top job in that state.

“AT&T is very committed to Atlanta and to the state of Georgia, and we have been for over 140 years,” Harrison told the BIZ television show from the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

Citing her own experiences, Harrison also praised AT&T’s commitment to diversity.

Harrison worked for AT&T in North Carolina across four decades before taking the post in Atlanta last December.
