Consumer Technology Association CEO to keynote NC TECH event

RALEIGH – Gary Shapiro, President and CEO of the Consumer Technology Association and author of “Ninja Future” will speak at the NC Tech Association’s Leadership Summit in Pintehurst on Aug. 8-9.

Gary will provide the morning keynote at the Leadership Summit on Friday, August 9 in Pinehurst where he will talk about his new book Ninja Future: Secrets to Success in the New World of Innovation, exploring the evolving technological landscape, breakthroughs underway now and those we can only imagine. New innovations such as self-driving vehicles, blockchain, 5G, the Internet of Things, and countless others that will forever change the economy as we know it. All attendees will receive a copy of the book.

Shapiro authored CTA’s New York Times best-sellers, Ninja Innovation: The Ten Killer Strategies of the World’s Most Successful Businesses (Harper Collins, 2013) and The Comeback: How Innovation will Restore the American Dream (Beaufort, 2011). Through these books and television appearances, and as a columnist whose more than 800 opinion pieces have appeared in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and The Washington Post, Shapiro has helped direct policymakers and business leaders on the importance of innovation in the U.S. economy. He is considered an “influencer” on LinkedIn and has more than 250,000 followers.
