ROCKY MOUNT – The Golden LEAF Foundation has selected Raleigh-based Elinvar to help lead its search for a new president following the recent departure of Dan Gerlach who now is the interim chancellor at East Carolina University.
Applications for the position are open through July 15.
“We are pleased to have an experienced, North Carolina-based firm conduct the search for the Foundation,” said Golden LEAF Board member Lee Roberts, who is chair of the selection process. “We are confident that the Foundation can quickly find the best candidates available to continue our mission of serving rural, tobacco dependent communities in North Carolina and help prepare these communities for new economic opportunities.”
The new president is expected to be named later this year,
Ted Lord, Senior Vice President and Staff Attorney of Golden LEAF, is serving as acting president.
