RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – WRAL TechWire’s recently launched Triangle Startup Guide under the guiding hand of Shannon Cuthrell continues to generate a lot of positive reaction as we continue to expand the depth and breadth of information it offers for entrepreneurs.

The Guide is part of TechWire’s growing commitment to support the North Carolina entreprenurial ecosystem that is led by veteran contributor Cuthrell. This includes a multi-part weekly roundup of upcoming events published each Monday that includes hundreds of items about what’s happening across the state.

The feedback

Here’s what online news site GrepBeat had to say:

“Guiding The Way … Expanding on what it originally launched last August, WRAL TechWire has unveiled a quite cool, interactive, in-depth guide to the Triangle startup ecosystem. It lives on its own exclusive domain. The site is intended to be a resource for entrepreneurs and includes ‘everything from investors and funding sources, to accelerators and incubators, to membership networks, to free meetups and other events.’ Check it out!”

Thank you, GrepBeat.

Triangle investor Mark Easley wrote:

“I just saw your story about the new Triangle Startup Guide, and I just reviewed the site. Great job!

“We have needed something like this for a long time around here, thanks for putting it together.

“This resource will be very valuable to our startup community. I will be interested in seeing what you come up with for Charlotte and around the state going forward. … Keep up the good work!”

And we saw this tweet from NC Sci Tech & Innovation Twitter account:

“N.C. Sci Tech & Innovation (@NCSTI)

“⁦‪@ShannonCuthrell‬⁩ & the folks at ⁦‪@WRALTechWire‬⁩ have a great resource on the  #startup ecosystem for budding entrepreneurs. Thanks for including the #OneNCSmallBiz program from ⁦‪@NCCommerce‬⁩!”

Launch Chapel Hill noted:

“The TechWire guide is a terrific resource for entrepreneurs in the Triangle.  Glad to read about it.  I’m not sure if I should reach out to you or someone else – hopefully you’ll let me know.  While Launch does have some coworking available, our primary program is that we’re a Business Accelerator with 2 cohorts a year for people in the community looking to scale businesses.  Can someone make that addition in the Accelerator & Mentoring page?”

Yes, we did. Thank you.

IdeaFest and Big Launch Challenge wrote to us:

“I love this resource on WRAL TechWire!! Very nicely put together.

“Thank you so much for including us and the Big Launch Challenge.”

Research Triangle Cleantech Cluster notes:

“Fantastic coverage, Shannon! BTW: Thanks to a federal grant, ⁦‪@cltjoules‬⁩#Cleantech Catalyst accelerator is expanding its support for Triangle-based startups – we hope to see Joules added to your list in time for the next call for startups this fall! Info @ joulesaccelerator.com”
