Keeping up with WRAL TechWire’s continued initiative to track events happening across North Carolina, here’s look at what’s to come in June:

Application Deadline: Appalachian Leadership Institute Fellowship

June 1

This nine-month leadership program involves extensive training, skills-learning, seminars, field visits and more programming for people who live and/or work in Appalachia.

Application Deadline: Center for Creative Economy Velocity Accelerator

June 2

Velocity, a new nine-week accelerator from the Center for Creative Economy in Winston-Salem, delivers one-on-one online and in-person programming with mentors. The accelerator culminates on a five-day session on site, followed by a pitch competition and demo night.

Open Raleigh Brigade Demo Night

June 4, 6-8 p.m. @HQ Raleigh

The Open Raleigh Brigade is an ongoing meetup for technologists, designers, developers, data scientists, map makers and project managers to come together to collaborate on civic projects. In this Demo Night, members will be showcasing the projects they’ve been working on since March.

1 Million Cups CLT

June 5, 8:30-10 a.m.

Held every month, 1 Million Cups Charlotte features a presentation from a local startup followed by a Q&A from the community. Free coffee is included.

Export University 101: Asheville

June 6, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. @AB Tech

This one-day workshop teaches export sales techniques, how to find overseas buyers, methods of international payment and more related topics.

Larger Than Life Science

June 6, 4-7 p.m. @The Chesterfield

Meet fellow entrepreneurs, get tips on growing your company and network with fellow members of the life science community at the free Larger Than Life Science events series, presented by LaunchBio.

Venture Café Thursday Gathering

June 6, 5-8 p.m. @Bailey Power Plant

Held on a weekly basis, this Venture Café event series provides all sorts of programming for Piedmont Triad entrepreneurs and innovators. Every Thursday evening, the community gathers for networking, panel talks, workshops, presentations, product demos, interviews, and more.

PercCollider Climate Coffee Hour

The weekly PercCollider event convenes Collider members for networking and collaboration over drinks.

AMR Action Summit

June 10-11 @Hamner Conference Center

Join for the first AMR (antimicrobial resistance) Action Summit on Research, Development and Commercialization, hosted by the NC Biotechnology Center, the British Government, RTI International, BioMerieux, BD, Agile Sciences, the British-American Business Council and CARB-X of Boston University.

Fintech Generations 2019

The annual Fintech Generations conference features speakers, panels and other sessions covering topics surrounding the growth of the Southeast’s fintech ecosystem.

UNC IE Bagel Breakfast Social

UNC’s Institute for the Environment hosts a monthly breakfast inviting a guest speaker to discuss their latest research and projects.

Charlotte PitchBreakfast

June 12, 8-10 a.m. @The Garage at Packard Place

Every month, a handful of Queen City-based companies headline Charlotte PitchBreakfast, pitching their products and services for a total of five minutes, after which they will answer questions from the audience and a panel of entrepreneurs and experts.

Pints & Pitches Chapel Hill

INTech Raleigh Summer Camp

In this five-day program, students can learn how to build websites about social issues they’re passionate about. The bootcamp concludes with a showcase of students’ work, earning them a certificate of completion.

ImBlackInTech Monthly Mixer Series
