DURHAM – NC IDEA is committing $150,000 in new grants to 15 startups across North Carolina.

The economic development foundation announced the latest in its NC IDEA MICRO grants on Wednesday.

Receiving the grant money are the following firms:

 “This cohort of grant recipients is a great representation of the diverse economic potential of the state,” said Thom Ruhe, CEO of NC IDEA, in announcing the awards.

“For many of the companies at this stage, it is their first external validation that they are pursuing something that can become a great company; and it is very rewarding for us to help them realize that,” Ruhe concluded.

The MICRO grants augment NC IDEA’S program of $50,000 NC SEED grants. Winners are expected to be announced in Mid-May.
