RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – Mark Goldberg, a former senior executive at Parexel International, is the new executive chairman of Cato Research, a firm that provides regulatory and clinical research services.

“We’ve been searching for additional leadership talent to support our goal of building CATO into a leading clinical and regulatory services provider.  Mark is the perfect fit with his wealth of experience in our industry,” said Lynda Sutton, co-founder and president of Cato.  “I’m excited to have Mark on our team to help guide our growth and I look forward to working with him.”

Goldberg, an MD, worked at Paraxel in a variety of roles for 21 years. He most recently was president and chief operating officer.

Cworked with investors Water Street Healthcare Partners and JLL Partners to recruit Goldberg, Cato noted in the announcement.

Cato, which launched in 1988, is based in the Triangle.
