DAVIDSON – ProctorFree, which provides an online proctor free exam system for students, faculty and schools, has raised $675,000 of an equity round aimed at $925,000, according to a regulatory filing.

Eight investors participated in the funding, according to the filing.

Previously, Davidson-based ProctorFree raised more than $3.27 million in equity in 2016 and 2017 rounds.

According to its web site, ProctorFree is an on-demand, online proctoring solution for schools administering online exams. ProctorFree allows a school to go above and beyond accreditation requirements by tracking student behavior and deterring cheating at a low cost.

Rather than traveling to testing centers, students can access an on-demand proctoring system without pre-scheduling a time or location. ProctorFree is accessible 24/7. It requires a computer with a microphone and camera.
