RALEIGH — MemberHub Inc.,which sells an SaaS cloud software communications system to parent-teacher groups and other organizations, has raised $595,000 of a debt round aimed at $750,000, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company, which presented at the Internet Summit’s demo showcase in November, says its mission is to connect and empower parent-teacher groups to engage families. Its SaaS solution solves the administrative burdens that drain time and energy for these nonprofits, it says on its web site.

The company says that its product allows an administrator who needs to send an urgent text message, a teacher who needs to schedule a reminder, or a parent who needs to organize a signup opportunity or pay member dues all to do so via a smartphone.

The product’s services are meant to be comprehensive and include:

  • Online signups.
  • Calendars.
  • Text messages.
  • Reminders.
  • Newsletters and email.
  • File storage.
  • Photo albums.
  • Whiteboards.
  • Payments.
  • Activity feeds.
