RALEIGH – Victra, the Verizon reseller which moved its headquarters to Raleigh from Greenville, has pulled out of a $3.3 million state incentives deal that was originally part of the HQ change.

The Triangle Business Journal reports that on Tuesday Vicra told the state Economic Investments Committee that it would not meet the original job creation number that was part of the deal. The committee agreed to terminate the deal for a Job Development Investment Grant.

“We’re going to consolidate virtually everything into Raleigh,” Victra CEO told TBJ. “With respect to the JDIG grant, the fundamental change is our desire to move the overwhelming majority of our team to Raleigh. We’ve found the synergy, collaboration, and culture to be an advantage we can’t pass up. As a result, we’ll be unable to meet the provisions related to jobs remaining in Greenville.”

The original deal was announced last year.
