CHARLOTTE – Dentsply Sirona, a global dental technology and product manufacturing firm, has picked Charlotte for 320 new jobs, Gov. Roy Cooper announced Tuesday.

If the company meets new job targets it will receive  $3.94 million in tax rebates spread over 12 years through a Job Development Investment Grant.

“We are excited to grow in North Carolina with the establishment of a U.S. commercial hub in Charlotte for our sales activities and the ongoing educational programs offered through our Dentsply Sirona Academy,” said Don Casey, Dentsply Sirona’s CEO.

The company already employs 145 people in the state. A 130-year old firm, it employs 15,000 people across more than 40 countries.

“North Carolina has the right ingredients for success for manufacturers and life sciences companies, including skilled, experienced workers,” said  Cooper in the announcement. “Dentsply Sirona’s decision proves again that the life sciences industry is thriving here, and I welcome these good new jobs for North Carolina.”

New jobs will include sales, customer service, clinical education, marketing and executive roles.
