New leaked images of Lenovo’s Z5 smartphone released Tuesday show it is not quite the nearly bezeless screen originally hyped in media reports. The new images show razor-thin bezels and rounded corners and a thin “chin” below the screen.

Earlier images, posted by Lenovo Vice President Chang Cheng on AndroidHeadlines show the phone will have an embellished metal frame and metal back. It will include a dual camera and has volume and lock buttons on the right side. It has a selfie camera on the bottom right corner.

Lenovo has been teasing its new flagship device for more than a month. Early reports suggested it would have a 95 percent screen to body ratio. While the leaked images do not show the all-screen device reports suggested, it is nonetheless a very sleek phone.

Yet Android Authority noted:

“Lenovo had teased a “truly” bezel-less phone in a sketch and some renders, but as you can see, the Z5 includes both a notch and a chin. It looks like it has a well-optimized screen-to-body ratio — heck, it’s probably up there with the best. The problem is, it’s not what Lenovo VP Chang Cheng had teased, which may leave a sour taste in the mouths of some consumers.”

Cheng has said the phone will have a whopping 4TB of internal memory and 45 days of standby battery life, as well as that 95 percent screen-to-body ratio. No earpiece is visible in the leaked renders.

Reports say the phone will support wireless charging and include a fingerprint scanner on the back or via a display scanner.

It is expected to ship with the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor and at least 6GB of RAM. Android 8.1 Oreo will likely come pre-installed on the phone.
