DURHAM – Two of the thought leaders behind IBM’s Watson and its artificial intelligence capabilities will be showcasing their expertise at Moogfest.

Jennifer Sukis, creative director for Watson, will deliver a keynote address.

And Maya C Weinstein, design lead at Watson, will lead two workshops with a focus on how cognitive technology can be used to enhance creativity.

Moogfest runs May 17-20 in Durham.

Sukis will discuss “how AI will influence human shifts into new creative frontiers and how we’re already tapping into the limitless creative applications waiting therein for mass usage,” Moogfest notes.

During the workshops, “participants will work directly with AI modules currently being used to inspire art and music at the highest levels, and use design thinking to conceptualize and collaborate on a specific project,” Moogfest says. Organizers added that no prior experience is necessary for participation.

The Moogfest schedule now includes more than 200 workshops as well as discussion groups, classes, films and music.
