Spectrio, a Tampa, Florida-based firm that sells location-based marketing solutions powered by content and technology, has merged with Charlotte-based 10 Foot Wave, a company specializing in the design, creation, deployment and management of Digital Signage media networks since 2007. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The merger will increase Spectrio’s Digital Signage footprint to more than 16,000 screens across North America and add another layer of innovative technology to the company’s suite of services.

Spectrio’s current Digital Signage clients receive turnkey equipment, installation, programming and creative content development as well as the ability to customize timing, format and messaging.

With the merger, Spectrio will be able to offer feature-rich DIY capabilities and more Digital Signage program and content options while increasing deployment efficiency of its digital signage technology. In addition, 10 Foot Wave clients will be able to streamline and centralize their audio and video marketing services with one provider.

“Our clients are demanding innovative solutions to enhance their consumer engagement and ultimately grow their businesses. This merger complements our suite of location-based marketing solutions and allows us to remain on the leading edge of digital signage technology,” said Aaron Kleinhandler, COO of Spectrio said in a statement.
