The company, which is based in Irvine, says it plans to hire 10 or more people in Raleigh as part of a strategy to drive customer growth and offer continuous customer support.

RapidScale’s network includes operations in Dallas, Virginia, the Netherlands and Hong Kong as well as Irvine.

The new office, which RapidScale says will serve as its “dual HQ,” covers 5,000 square feet in Downtown Raleigh and can accommodate some 30 people.

“As a company with a global footprint that meets the needs of companies throughout the United States, it became necessary to have a presence on the East Coast. We were attracted to Raleigh due to its reputation as an innovation and technology hub,” said Chief Operating Officer William Hiatt in announcing the Raleigh outpost. “As a rapidly growing company, it is crucial we have access to a qualified talent pool to meet the diverse needs of our customers. We look forward to taking advantage of the best that Raleigh has to offer for our employees and customers.”

The new office and planned additional hires augments RapidScale’s Raleigh presence of management, engineering, support, sales and finance employees.

The company says it grew revenues by 112 percent in 2017.
