RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – There’s always confusion, talk, and questions about state, local, and federal incentives and grants that are available to North Carolina companies wanting to grow their businesses or companies wanting to move to North Carolina to set up shop.  Many smaller and young companies often hesitate to investigate the possibility of receiving financial or other support for their businesses thinking that such support is reserved for larger and more established organizations.

On Jan. 10 the North Carolina Center of Innovation Network (COIN) will be kicking off the first of a series of informational events on this topic and holding an Open House and Hear the Experts event, “Don’t Leave Money on the Table” at the 4141 Park Lane Ave. Offices of Nexsen Pruett from 11:00 AM to 1:00PM.

“Every day we speak with companies, large and small, that are interested in how they can qualify for and get economic development incentives that might be available through grants and direct incentives from government agencies to help the grow their businesses.  At this event we’re bringing together some of the best experts in the State to discuss and answer questions about this timely topic,” said Terri Zaczyk, Director of Operations for COIN.

Featured speakers for this event include John Skvarla, former North Carolina Secretary of Commerce and Ernie Pearson, former Assistant Secretary of Commerce and one of the top economic development lawyers in the Southeastern states.

Any business person interested in learning more about this topic, whether who to speak with, how to apply, and how much is available to qualifying businesses is invited to attend this free event and enjoy lunch while learning.

For additional information or to register for this event go to the NC COIN website.
