RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – Chuck Robbins is making more changes in networking giant Cisco, continuing to reshape the executive team in his image two years after replacing John Chambers

Cisco (Nasdaq: CSCO) on Thursday announced several changes just days after Chambers stepped down as the firm’s executive chairman. Robbins is expected to be named chairman by the board.

The Thursday changes include:

Rebecca Jacoby, a 22-year Cisco veteran, is stepping down as senior vice president of operations. She retires Jan. 27.

Irvin Tan, senior vice president of Asia Pacific and Japan, takes on a newly created position: senior vice president of operations and digital.

Chris Dedicoat, executive vice president of worldwide sales and field operations, will leave the firm as of July 28, 2018.

“Both Chris and Rebecca have had an immeasurable impact on Cisco’s success over the past 20-plus years. I want to thank them and say how much I appreciate their leadership and friendship,” Robbins said in a statement. “Irving brings deep customer expertise and operational leadership and I am thrilled he will be leading the new Operations and Digital function and joining my executive leadership team.”

Cisco operates one of its largest campuses in RTP.
