Here’s a look at the early 2018 calendar:

January 3, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. @Sheraton Imperial Hotel & Convention Center in Durham

For a glimpse of insight into what’s to come for North Carolina’s economy in 2018, the local community is invited to join the North Carolina Chamber and North Carolina Bankers Association for their 16th annual gathering of statewide leaders and organizers in business, government, education and nonprofits. Tickets range from $100 to $115.

January 26-28 @ Hunt Library

Student solutions are needed to make a more sustainable world. During this weekend-long challenge, student teams research, design, prototype and build a new solution that addresses a sustainability challenge. On the last day, community and industry sustainability experts evaluate solutions and award prizes to the top teams in each category, as well as a grand prize to the overall winner.

January 30, 4-7 p.m. @Talley Student Union at North Carolina State University

Entry-level jobs seekers, students and recent graduates can gain access to internship and career opportunities at this upcoming job fair hosted by the Research Triangle Cleantech Cluster. Registration is free for job seekers. Tickets cost $150 for North Carolina-based companies or organizations with fewer than 100 employees, and $300 for staffing solutions firms and companies or organizations with 100 employees or more in North Carolina. Exhibition opportunities for employers start at $150.

February 12 @North Ridge Country Club

Registration is now open for next year’s North Carolina CEO Forum, an annual event featuring executive and management team leaders and innovators in the state’s business and healthcare fields. The 2018 program will involve several compelling speakers, including North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper as well as top executives at the Wake Forest Comprehensive Cancer Center, Lab Corp, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Liquidia and GlaxoSmithKline. Attendees should prepare for a day of insight and lessons from successful figures in North Carolina leadership roles. A cocktail reception and dinner will be held the Angus Barn Pavilion after the Forum. Proceeds will go toward Teen Cancer America.

February 27-28 @Raleigh Convention Center

Ticket registration is live for the Council for Entrepreneurial Development’s 27th annual flagship Life Science Conference, presented in partnership with the North Carolina Biotechnology Center and North Carolina Biosciences Organization. Prospective attendees should expect two days of insightful speeches, panels and discussions from top leaders and companies in the life sciences scene in North Carolina.
