The founders of Carpe Lotion famously came together during the joint Duke/UNC Robertson Scholars Leadership Program, uniting around entrepreneurship and sweaty hands.
Their first couple years in business were all about formulating an antiperspirant lotion for feet and hands, and then proving to investors and partners the size of the market.
The pair has since graduated from their respective universities and opened a new production facility in Durham this month. Growth is accelerating with customers raving about the products and sales taking off on Amazon and in Harris Teeter stores, but it hasn’t happened without some challenges along the way.
