Venture capitalist Mitch Mumma of Intersouth Partners and serial entrepreneur John McConnell are the two newest tech leaders named to the Council for Entrepreneurial Development’s Hall of Fame.

“The member of the 2017 North Carolina Entrepreneur Hall of Fame class are standout examples of the high quality entrepreneurs who have grown their businesses in North Carolina,” said Ravila Gupta, the new CED President and CEO. “We honor them for their leadership, vision and commitment to the community, and thank them for their roles in building the entrepreneurial ecosystem we all benefit from today.”

The two men will be inducted at the CED Founders Day celebration on May 16 at The Frontier in RTP.

The selections were made by an eight-member selection committee, which considered more than 36 candidates.

To be chosen, nominees had to receive more than 80 percent of the votes.
