More than 250 people have taken part in the first two SalesJam events in Durham and RTP, giving us important feedback that will improve future conferences here along with the confidence to take the event on the road this spring.

In partnership with tekMountain, we’ll host SalesJam 3.0 in Wilmington at the coworking/incubator space on April 21. Wilmington has a growing startup and technology community and tekMountain is a leader with about 30 companies housed within its space. Teams there are growing and hiring, and we hope SalesJam is an important tool as they develop their talent and sales strategy.

But the event, of course, is open to any salesperson, startup leader/employee or small business owner—there’s even a bus to transport people from Raleigh and Durham. The goal of SalesJam is to provide inspiration and tactical tips for improving sales performance and/or building a career in sales. It’s a collaboration with RevBoss, a sales prospecting solution that helps B2B sales organizations grow their pipeline and win customers.

ExitEvent’s mission is to provide information, education and programming that builds the foundation and supports the growth of small and startup businesses across the state. SalesJam achieves that goal by providing affordable training that every salesperson and startup founder needs to grow their organizations. Besides being chock full of educational content, these events are inspiring, engaging and fun.

Previous speakers have included David Morken, founder of Bandwidth.com, Cindy Whitehead, founder of Sprout Pharmaceuticals and The Pink Ceiling, and Tom Ferguson, CEO of Rise Franchising.

Ferguson will give the keynote in Wilmington, sharing aspects of his story building Rise Biscuits & Donuts into a fast-growing chain of restaurants. He’ll be joined by Wilmington leaders George Taylor, serial entrepreneur and chairman of Untappd, Polly Harman, CEO and founder of Pursuit Sleep Technology, Greg Larnder, an executive at CastleBranch and Josh Lee, local sales manager for Sunrise Broadcasting.

Other speakers include Vince Beese, founder of Sales@Scale, Bill Spruill, founder of Global Data Consortium, Courtney Tellefsen, founder and CEO of The Produce Box, Vickie Gibbs, a serial entrepreneur and co-founder of Marlowe Consulting and Eric Boggs, CEO and founder of RevBoss.

They’ll cover a range of topics, from prospecting and building a sales funnel to advancing & closing deals. A founders panel will offer perspectives on sales from entrepreneurs at different stages of building a startup. There will be networking breaks with snacks provided by The Produce Box and Mati Energy, and lunch to kick off the event from Rise Biscuits.

Tickets are $49 + tax and can be purchased here.

ExitEvent and tekMountain will also partner to host The Wilmington Startup Social from 5-7 p.m. that evening. With drinks, food and live music, the startup social is open to the Wilmington and Triangle startup communities and beyond. RSVP here.
